Our Language Development Project aims to fund linguistic research of minority languages through training, translation projects, and literacy resource development.
Working in partnership with locally registered organizations, the project will support linguistic knowledge, community-based research, and resources relevant to language maintenance and preservation.
Training, resource production, and academic collaboration provide three connected ways to pursue this aim.
Organize necessary training in literacy resource development, linguistic data collection, archiving, and community-based linguistic research.
These training areas will support the collection and preservation of linguistic knowledge and the development of resources for language communities.
Publish print materials and produce audio and visual resources pertinent to different aspects of language communities, with a focus on language maintenance and preservation.
Translation and literacy resource development form part of the project’s central aim.
Organize joint training seminars and workshops with academic institutions to disseminate gathered knowledge and widen the project’s contribution within linguistic research communities.
