1. Stop giving yourself permission to drink in the sexual beauty of any person you are not married too.
  2. Look at people as brothers and sisters, not objects of your desires.
  3. Listen to the Holy Spirit.
Many times He will warn you to stop a certain action or activity ( i.e. TV). If you obey those promptings they will keep you from failure.
  4. Make yourself accountable to someone else who is free, (in the area you struggle in) once a week.
If  you are married, your spouse can be a great help in this area.
  5. Wash your mind with the Word of God daily.
Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
  6. If you want to watch a movie, check it out at a reputable movie review www.pluggedinonline.org
  7. If you use the Internet use a tracking software that sends a report to a trusted friend, pastor, or accountability partner, that tells where you have been on the internet. A free one can be found at www.xxxchurch.com
  8. If you need to go out to get something and feel as though while you are out you might fail, take a friend or family member with you for accountability. If no one is available tell someone about the battle going on in your mind and ask for prayer.
  9. Wear a Christian t-shirt in public.
It is hard to look at explicit material while wearing this as it will make you ashamed.
  10. If you are married, be involved intimately with your spouse on a regular basis.
1 Corinthians 7:5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your inconsistency.
  11. Believe what the Bible (God’s Word) says about you.
If God says you are not a slave to sin, but free from sin, believe Him not your feelings or the lies the enemy seeks to bombard you with.
  12. Don’t re-live impure past experiences.
  13. Keep your mind occupied with Godly things. Have a Holy holiday. Use your imagination to think about what heaven will be like. How it will be like to have no more temptation to deal with.
  14. Think about things that are pure, lovely, a good report.
If there are virtuous things, praiseworthy things, think about them. Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
